Hi all,
Took the 11S out today for a bit blast up the Northumberland coast and was shocked at the amount of vibes I was getting through the pegs. My bike has never been all that vibey and since I fitted Rapid dog bar backs they have all but gone through the bars.
After getting my head round how to balance the TB's with the twinmax Ive got them bang on, a quick check after my trip out and their still spot on through the rev range, so whats happening?.
Riding conditions today were good but breezy, about 16mph, bike performed well but a bit lumpy at tick over which it always has been, which leads to another question, at tick over is it normal for the bike to shake , ie mirrors wobble a bit?. Tick over RPM 1100.

The fuel is fairly new, two galls put in about a week ago mind you it was Asda's special, had no choice at the time, its stood about the same time but very little use over the winter, just a short run today, about 80 miles in 6°C temperature.
As I said the bike is usually not as vibey as it was today. I took the brass bypass screws out tonight for a quick butchers and they were pretty crudded up, cleaned them up and replaced them with the same amount of turns out as they had been.
Might be worth mentioning that the bike is a complete bog standard with the cat still firmly in place and no other tinkerings gone on.

I was reading about the rapid Dogs Bar Backs yesterday.
Question: As half way house solution is it possible to just fit the normal under the top clamp/ yoke bars above the clamp.

If you move the bars above the yoke - the odds are that you will need new longer hoses if you have a non-ABS bike.
I've a set of Bar Backs and they are an excellent bit of kit but you get a bit of an unsightly tang showing (anti-rotation device sort of thingy)
They aren't in keeping with the looks of the S - IMHO.
So altho I have a set; they are on my shelf and I have a set of the higher bars on they're way.

When I fitted Rapid dog bar backs to my bike I took the chance to change the front hoses to stainless steel. Used a company called Vyxxn who made up a set of two for about £50.
The bar backs made a big difference for me, no more aching wrists or vibey hands.

I lifted my bars over the the top yoke after reading the instructions from other members on this forum (mine has ABS with the slightly longer brake hoses). It took about half hour to fourty mins to do the job and it's one of the best mods I have ever done to the bike. No weight on the wrists, lighter steering, easier to manouver in traffic, less vibes through the hands.
You might want to invest in a taller screen, I paid £70 for mine and it does the job fine.

I've just tried this recently and it's certainly different... Better in suburbia but needs a different screen at speed and I wouldn't mind more seat height also
