Hello Bill,
Have you had a chance to test the new seat? I'm crossed between getting the Sargeant or the Corbin. Is the stainless screen readily available?

D man,
The Sargent feels great and is much higher quality than the corbin. I looked closely at both. The Sargent is a little more money though.
I made templates and cut the screen about 1/4" over. then bent the edges 90 deg. and used some epoxy to secure them in place.
PM me your address and I will send you a piece of screen, as I have some left over.
The only thing is you have to buy a pretty good size chunk. I have a few pieces left. PM me and I will send you enough to do yours for the cost of shipping. (while supply lasts)
Just a thought re the oil cooler screens, not trying to scare you, just what I was told by a BMW Tuning specialist in Germany who I tried to buy the screens from, a company called WuDo in Dusseldorf.
He said they had done testing on the effect of oil cooler screens and had found that they could increase the temperature of the oil by 10 to 15 0C, even using the most flow friendly design so had decided not to produce them.
Sorry, lovely looking bike by the way, wish I had a tool box like yours aswell
I have heard the same thing from some, and others claim they have used screens for years with no over heating problems.
I did research it and believe that with 77% open area the loss in cooling will be minimal. Anything you put over the oil cooler will restrict flow somewhat.
San Jose BMW uses oil cooler screens on their r12s racebikes That is proof enough for me that overheating is not an issue.

Love the seat. It looks both stylish and comfortable. I am also intersted in the comfort as I want to upgrade my standard seat. The standard part looks cheap and uninviting !!
Cheers, Holly.....
