Chroming Services ... any recommendations?

Postby horse27 » Fri Nov 30, 2007 2:56 pm

Hi

Need to get a few bits tarted up on my 'other other' bike over winter.

Can anyone recommend a decent chromer?

Prefer to pick up and drop off in the local area but can post off and return if the job will be a good one.

If anyone can offer any advice on the various qualities of chroming that would be handy too (hard chroming, etc)

Thanks, Lee.

I used these guys for a load of bits of my 50's BSA. The quality of work was v. good.

Despite the same surname, no connection (that I know of).

Hi

Try these guys

London Chroming Company
735 Old Kent Road
London
SE15 1JL
020-7639 6434
www.londonchroming.co.uk

They offered a good reliable service for some car and bike parts in the past.

Forget chrome and go for nickel plating instead.

Much nicer patina and still shiny bright but not so bling.

Try Silvabronze Beckwith Plating bloody expensive but a better job you will not find.

We use them on vvv expensive Bugattis and they are the dogs.

Excellent - now I have too many choices and even a chance to screw up the plating all for myself!

Slightly disturbed by the chrome AK47 on the London Plating site. This seasons must have for the Old Kent Road Ganstas I guess 8)

Cheers!
