Well I enjoyed it - although if I'm not sure there's a day in it. Loved the custom machines - are they actually rideable by humans or do they just have to look good?

For me the bazaar works well as I never get the chance to go to any shop apart from Tesco, so it's good to be able to see what's available in the market overall. Given the NEC fee structure I don't think you can bank on discounts though.

I liked the Touratec stand - is the mud genuine? Interesting to see what they bolt onto these machines; although I reckon the Honda90 total loss approach must be simpler and maybe cheaper overall.

Food unbelievably expensive - even in the staff canteen. More than City sarnies and not as nice.

£15 entry, £6 parking. In and out in 2 hours having seen everything I wanted to see. :?

KTM RC8 is fantastic but star of the show without a doubt was the R1200 HP2. New Fireblade is just plain odd looking.

Retail section was packed, both with people and the same old stock.

Some bery nice clevages and lovely thighs on display, and that was from some of the punters as well as the babes! but not enough to keep me from the pub.

To all of those of you who have or intend to travel more than 20 miles to get there, respect :headbang:

Ummm, 212 mile round trip myself, was it worth it?? Well, got to scrub the New Conti's in so yeah, the show itself probably not apart from, again the HP2S, Pucker, even though its not the bike for me, too old and unbendy, awesome nevertheless.

I went up this saturday to the NEC.

to be honest i was a bit dissappointed about the fact that big names like Aprilia or Moto Guzzi were not even there...but here is my quick write up:

KTM: liked the RC8 apart from that not inspiring
Buell: 1125 looks cool, but i dont like the huge air intakes....
Honda: I was impressed the new Transalp - i did not even look at Blades etc...
Suzuki: nothing
Yamaha: new XT660Z Tenere - big bike...i was on tip toes. not sure about using the single cylinder engine from the normal XT
Kawasaki: wife checked out the ER-6N which suits her
BMW: loved the new R1200 HP2 Boxer, but £14k....
i was really impressed with the F800GS - great looking bike and less bulk than the 1200....

Halls 2 and 3 just full of Clothing and Accesssories dealer stuff...i was looking if i could see some BMW stuff, but did not find anything! looked to me more that there are more and more cheaper dealer selling no name brands etc...

i loved this advert and took a pic!

Have fun.

I drove a round trip of 240 miles that cost me (and a mate)£36 in fuel in addition to the £15 entry and £6 parking and you know what... It wasn't worth it. I liked the layout this year but there was nothing that really grabbed me by the balls from anyone. I liked the HP2 but as has been said before £14K  , the Blade is wierd, the ZX10 ugly, nothing from Suzuki and where's my bloody VFR1000! I did see one of the most beautiful women ever though although she was too tall for me. Bummer.

Which stand? There was an absoluetely stunning blonde on the Ducati stand, wearing a pair of jeans and an 848 tee shirt and a gorgeous smile.

While on the subject of Ducati, I had a sit on a Hypermotard S. With your head in the normal riding position you can't see any of the bike in your peripheral vision. Most odd sensation. Still like one though

Keep the views comin

£14.5k?? Bugger. I would have gone to £14k, but £14.5 is extracting the urine somewhat

Seriously though, a free Boxertrix tee-shirt to the first person on the board to buy a brand spanking new one (and let me have a go on it....).

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Well, Mrs A got a new Arai, £100 off and free custom fitting by the Arai people (and very good they are too)

I got a new Goretex (Triumph) for £55

...and I got to dribble over the Ducati 848 :)
