Swapped my 11 for a 12

Postby steve*mac » Fri Aug 31, 2007 9:37 am

I'm sad to say I gone and done it.

As much as I loved my 11S I fell for the new machine and I'm collecting it in the morning.. R12S in Black, Ohlins + 190 rim & Heated grips, oh and the panniers..

so I'm a happy camper at the moment...

your quite right, I should have got the dealer to do it, as I intended, but the bill was going up rapidly so I left it.. for now

but it will be done, might get it sprayed the same time as a belly pan..

I thought there was no pannier option on the R1200s. Did I get it wrong?

Good for you hope you like it. Personally i think its a lot of dosh for what you get, me, well er. single seat twin?? sportsbike?? think Ducati or even the new Buell, or if your wallet can stretch to it 1200 HP.. now your talking. Still its a nice bike and i have ridden it. Enjoy. Chris

seat height

Postby mkatz » Mon Feb 18, 2008 3:42 pm

(near) trivial question:

I used to have an R1100S... until I totaled it about 5 years ago. I'm about to buy a replacement and get back into riding but am concerned about sat height as I'm fairly short (inseam 30") and would like to ba able to (at least almost ) flat foot at stops.

Does your R12S sit taller than your old R11S? I've been told that the seat is shaped narrowly at the front to ease height concerns.
