I'm in the process of fitting a PCIII. Can anyone tell me which connection a Dynojet centre will need to connect to for re-mapping during a dyno run? Hopefully it's the USB port - I can leave a USB lead accessible when the bodywork's back on, but it would be a pity to have to take the body panels and tank off just to get to that block connector on the currently well-hidden PC.`

Sproggy, It is the USB port, I fed the wire up to near the toolkit and then sealed it up to keep the damp out.
I had to have all the bodywork off a week later to wire the PC into a 12v ignition on source as with its own feed it took too long to start (usually 10 turns as it were) consider doing that at the same time,

It sounds as if some people suffer that problem and others don't. I had been tempted to try it as stock but maybe you're right - better to do it right first time and avoid disassembling everything a couple of weeks later. I gave them the 9V connector but forgot to ask them where they got the feed from but if you do a search here there was a lengthy set of postings that covered this problem. You could always call them I am sure thjey will tell you.
Now takes two or three turns rather than the ten/is the battery going to make it scenario that happened to start with,

there's definitely something going off - according to the pelican site, dynojet now supply a 'patch' - a cable to hardwire a ignition-on 12v supply. I'd try the dynojet helpline, they've been really good before - you'd maybe get a freebie, no kid.
'Hinterachsge' translates as 'rear axle'.(Not 'Differential', so f*** off)
A little late in on this thread, but I have just done the PC wideband too. The usb lead (tiny socket) was the required one at the Dynotest centre. Dont forget to take the disc, I wrongly thought all centres would have all software pre-loaded - WRONG. And BMW's, even more so the R1100S, are rare beasts to visit such centres.
I left the PC bubble wrapped, in the recess for the tyre repair kit under the seat, until I next have all the plastic off, when I will hide it under the tank.
When I first fitted PC, it wouldnt start. Unplugged it, back to standard, started. Plugged in PC, no start. Went away, read all the web site again, returned, engine started on one side. Repeated above. No start. Left it overnight, started. Rode it twenty miles, engine died. Unplugged it, rode home. Replugged it, all o.k. Rode it 120 miles, all o.k. Took it to centre, tweaked, currently o.k. It did seem to 'like' having the ignition on for about 20 seconds before a start attempt. I keep my battery topped up with a weekly Optimate session of about 24 hours. I can only ride at weekends or days off.
The beauty of it is, if it goes wrong again, it can be quickly unplugged. Though I hope it will now be perfect forever.
