I like these bikes (good colour too!).

Just wish they were a little bit bigger. :(

I borrowed one from Jefferies as a loaner and enjoyed it tremendously! As Grom said, we are a little too large for a permanent purchase

Let us know how living with the beast goes.

I'll get me coat...

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Cheers,

Paul

Still very pleased with it. It seems fast enough to me. I'd be interested in trying aside by side accelleration test with an 1100S for scientific comparison purposes.

I've put about 300 miles on it in the week since I got it, and fuel consumption is hovering around the 60 mph mark. It's nice to have a dashboard and trip computer that can actually give you some useful information, and not have to rely on the trip meter as an fuel gauge, like you do on the S

So far I have plumbed in an ignition controlled fuse panel so I can add accessories, and I have stashed my autocom under the "tank" fairing. Next plan of action is to get myself a replacement GPS, since my Garmin Quest was destroyed in the "R1100S write off" incident. I also think I need an end can to make the thing sound a bit more like a motorbike and less like a moulinex food processor

So far, so good then.

Cheers,

Paul

M-o-M, take a look at my avatar... All of us F800 riders do that sort of thing

Top toy, not boring at all. Like the R1100S its a good involving ride at all speeds. Get a test ride from your friendly local BMW dealer and try one out.

Cheers,

Paul

He's based in Perth - his local dealer isn't unfriendly, but he's not entirely local. :(

True, but he's only ten minutes from where I work (well he's only 10 minutes from where I live, if I max the R1200S on the A90, but that's another matter!)

I'll see if he brings one to the track day he's planning next year.

I do believe that those SPECS cameras along the Carse can't catch bikes anyway :D

Well they can't detect a car if it enters in one lane and leaves in the other!
