BCR - to chip or not?

Post by Hursty »

Hi, I have an 05 BCR with standard laser end pipes. If I was to fit a y piece without the chip would this do any harm?

Is the y piece for the twin spark engine the same as the single spark engine?

BTW, I have a spare standard exhaust and cat for R1100S (7000 miles use), any idea how much this would sell for?

Cheers

Hi
It should be just fine to fit a y piece without chipping it,even with the laser end cans. However i would say the bike would run better with the required chip or a dyno jet PC set up on a dyno.
The Y pieces should be the same whatever the year or if single or twin spark.
You may get some cash for the cat and standard end cans if you go down to harbour and flog it as a anchor!
