Taller screen.

Postby leasky » Sun May 07, 2006 7:40 am

Looking for some advice again folks. Thinking about a taller screen for the bike and thought that the Vario one looks ok. Does anybody use one and how good are they by comparison to the rest available?
Many thanks, Leasky.

My S has the standard screen wheras my wifes has one that is black, 3cm taller and a slight flip forward at the top. I have found that my helmet is half in the buffet zone on my bike and can cause noise in the helmet. I tried the wifes bike thinking that it would be different, but it feels just the same.
I would say that hers looks better but functions about the same. I guess you would need to go 8 to 10 cm taller to make a difference.

Mra Vario screen

Postby bobbit » Mon May 15, 2006 6:35 pm

Leasky ,

I've been using one of these for about a month .
Early days but I'm impressed so far .
Seems well made and all the holes line up .
On its lowest setting the Varios slightly higher than the standard low screen and on its highest setting about the same as the tall screen, being adjustable anywhere in-between . The big difference is that it dosn't angle back towards the rider like the BMW tall screen so theres a lot less turbulence . Looks are a matter of taste but I think it looks pretty
business like .
