Went to see about a new bike yesterday.
GS1150 adventurer bike was up for sale £7500
Few extras on it.

Talked to sales man showed him the bike. W. Reg
28,000 miles, full service history, loads of extras
asked me, how much I would like for the bike with all the extras on.
So I said about £4500. That's what he said I'll go talk to the boss
So I sat there, have a coffee while him and his boss. When outside
to look at the bike again. 20 minutes later, they come back in and offered me £3300, so I said is that without the extras. He said no that with the extras so I just smiled pleasantly said. No, thank. all he kept saying, what a lovely bike. I know they have to make a living, but they making a living and taking your eyes out
apparently, the bike is 10,000 miles over what it should be
So for now, I think I be keeping its till I get a better offer
the thing is at other dealers, I have seen s at over £5000.
And they're nowhere near as nice as mine

You might have to wait awhile, i.e. when it becomes classic status and there aren't many about.

Adam :)
Forgive me father for I have sinned... ex S owner moved onto pastures new with four cylinders and a chain... and back to a twin, albeit in a V.

it seems an S is for life, not just for xmas - especially when they get more than 6k on them.

have decided to keep mine until it falls to bits (probably over next winter) as a do everything bike until I can justify buying another sportier number without PX...

its a good job I like it....

they'll take a while to become rare as there are so many on dealer forecourts at the moment - which are likely to stay there for the foreseeable future....

That's the way I see them......... "a do-everything bike"
Can't see me doing touring or long journeys on anything else, to be honest.

Al :D
If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....
