Recovering

Post by Ade B »

After a quick scoot up north, the seat has finally declared enough and split along a 'fold' which has been forming on the sides for the last few months. (I have not increased in girth or nothing.. honest..)

So, having done a quick search on the forum which didn't appear to reveal much down here - does anyone know where I can get the seat recovered economically?

I have a contact who is a furniture upholsterer who could do a good chesterfield effect in distressed leather, but all I require is the same again..

Or has anyone got a spare seat for sale?

Comments appreciated.

Ade.

I've posted about this guy on the Forum before. Though based oop North you can deal with him over the phone and by post. I'm sure he'll only charge you approx. £35'ish for a recover. Probably less than you'll pay for a used one I would imagine.

or tel. 01904 793232

Made a good job of recovering a seat for me in a less slippery, more grippy rubberised vinyl.

Ade,
check ebay. I've seen a few recently for a sensible price.

Ade

The one I bought from Boxertools was recovered with two gel inserts.

Bit pricey at £155 but it's is all day comfortable and no comparison with the scrawny stock seat.

34B up front and a 36DD behind.

It's almost as heavy as the Hawker battery.
