Performance:
Technoflex front shock at about 325mm (I'd like to drop to 319mm)
Ohlins rear shock at about 320mm
Short (365mm) torque arm
BT 010's (I can't bring myself to move away from these, super grippy when it's dry and still grippy when it's wet and cold).
Cosmetics:
Ilmberger rear hugger (prettiest one available IMO and no problems in 20k miles).
BMW CF belly pan (again, prettiest one available IMO)
Practicality:
Givi top box, E52 (completely ruins the lines of the S but oh so practical).
Power socket in the dash for the GPS unit.
Odyssey PC680 gel battery (to replace the dying BM one).
Baglux cover and tank bag for the longer trips only.
BMW panniers with touring and city lids - city lids are a must if you venture anywhere near a city, although I'm a dab hand a filtering with the touring cases with mm to spare
Bought the bike with standard suspension (blue springs), switched to short torque arm which was a major improvement, then tried the sports suspension (yellow springs) which I liked even more before ending up with the set up I have now which I gather is similar to the latest boxercup rep except I have better damping and adjustment.
Also, tried the Y piece, K&N, induct, chip etc but didn't really feel it was running quite right plus I felt the additional noise didn't justify the increase in performance - bit of a stealth fan and happy with the acceleration and speed I already have.

Hi are those bmw panniers the same as the the normal r series bmw panniers ?

Just new to the forum and just bought my 2003 1100S on Saturday past.

Givi box is an E52, some think it's too big but it works for me. The E46 or newer V46 are possibly a better bet. All are quick and easy to remove.
The rack on the other hand is a bit more of a game as the pannier rails need to be removed to allow removal of the rear bodywork to expose the hidden fixings.
The hugger was an Ilmberger and yes, CF. Sandbar, on this site, will be able to assist you in the purchase of one of these fine items.
