Jeez Paul I see it has done 107k miles but has it ever been looked after Herrman’s 12 from this parish had done nearly 100k and looked immaculate in comparison

Twas my bike, rode in all conditions, toured Europe, trackdays at Cadwell and Donington and yes it had been looked after mechanically if not cosmetically at the end. Was going to ride it into the ground but another bike came along. Lots of threads showing lots of bikes needed work on finishes at much lower milage when they were ridden as intended and saw some adverse weather.

Trust me, getting an all-weathers-ridden bike with this mileage back to half decent condition is a huge amount of work. I'm re-doing my 120k miles R1100S and put a lot of hours into it so far, for just a mediocry job.

No offence meant Humbug, initially I thought it was your bike but the paint scheme wasn’t exactly as I remembered it. Ah well at least it’s not yours now

lol good mate thanks. Been a bit poorly from October to point with all sorts of skull dugery but hopefully on the mend now!

My mate is looking at this as a bike to fettle and rebuild motor etc but i agree - he'd be better off buying mine at 5 grand lol

Not too sure why it would need an engine rebuild. Cosmetics yes but loads of BMW's have much higher mileages. You could do a lot with the £3500 extra.
