Wanted - genuine seller.

Postby box-doctor » Sun Aug 16, 2020 6:42 am

After being right royally rogered up the rectum at the 11th hour over the purchase of a Boxercup replica, I’m looking for another.

But I’d like the seller to be genuine this time please.

Please only let me go to the trouble of rearranging my manic busy life, hiring a tow vehicle & hiring a motorbike trailer if the bike in question is actually going to be for sale, it’s not a lot to ask now is it ?

Obviously I’d like a completely stock one if possible with sensible mileage - please let me know if you have such a thing.

My bike is for sale, its known on this forum, its got a genuine 58k miles, currently on Spanish plates, but that's not a problem to re-register it in UK.
Its complete fairly standard , no ABS model.
With panniers & top box
In the for sale section
Price is obviously negotiable, if I either ship it back, or ride it back to UK.

Its going to have ITV this week , Spanish MOT

Be good , see my kids, and then fly back to Spain.

Hi Neil,

If you don't mind a bit of an adventure then have a look on: mobile.de there's about half-a-dozen BCR's for sale on there, I found my BCR on this very site, travelled to Gutersloh to collect it, happy days :D

Good luck,
Rob :)

Boxdoctor, it was not meant to be pal, don`t dwell on it cos the gods are on your side. You could look at possibly a more cost effective purchase in the shape of an R9t racer, My inside information tells me that these bikes can not be had inexpensively in Germany as they can here (the sausage meisters go daft for them) Bmw have stopped making them, they never sold well and the residual prices are going to go up. They can be picked up with low mileage and there is a raft of accs available from bmw. If you want something "special" that puts a big fcuk off smile on your face everytime you open the garage door then you could do worse not considering this boxer. The engine and gearbox are far superior also.

I am disappointed that the efforts you made to an offer on here have left a bad taste in your mouth.

Perhaps the seller may offer us his side of events ??

It’s common knowledge that they are very sensitive to the fuel you put in them, though
If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....

Thanks for that.
Yes clearly it wasn’t meant to be. The trouble is for is that I’ve been looking for one for the thick end of 2 years - this one ticked every single box apart from being on the next street.
So I hired a tow vehicle & a trailer & at the 11th hour he apparently decided to keep it - leaving me deflated & out of pocket by £280......!!!
I’m determined I’m gonna end up with a BCR, but I do keep looking at other models. The thing is if I hadn’t sold Project Marmite back in 2009 I would probably still have that & I've even tried (unsuccessfully) to track that down to buy it back.

The hunt will continue, but I think I’ll try & buy from a dealer next time - that’s always proved less problematic for me.

Thanks Chris - I’m hoping so.
There’s is always the one in Sheffield that’s done 940 miles, but at £13k it’s a big more than I can justify to Mrs Box Doctor......

It is indeed pants & definitely not the way I conduct myself - don’t put something for sale if you’re unsure ......surely...?
I am a patient man & I will just sit tight & I’m sure you’re right that the right bike will come along.
