Tank bag for R1100S wanted please?

Post by 2Twins »

Hello

If anyone has a tank bag suitable for a R1100S that they’d be willing to sell, please drop me a message?

Also, any information about different attachment methods for said tank bags would’ve appreciated? I have a micro tank bag which attaches via an elevated fuel cap bracket, but I’m looking for something larger, but not necessarily using the fuel cap bracket.

Do the genuine tank bags for the R1100S fit any other models? There are a few used GS ones available but I’m not sure if they’d be compatible.

Many thanks.

The original BMw egg type bag hooks on directly at the front and rear of the tank . The Famsa bag has a base which hooks on to the tank and the bag then zips on to the base . I've found the Famsa a little fiddly (especially when there's a bit of weight in it) for refuelling . The bag has to be unzipped and while it could just be me  i've sometimes found it difficult to reattach the bag to the base with the zip , three hands can be useful.

Folks

Thanks very much for all of the replies.

I’d be interested in the Famsa bag if Dave the German still has it - will send pm?

All the best.

Cheers
