527 miles yesterday
First 300 were ok but the padding in the seat turned to stone for the ride home

Re: 527 miles yesterday
That's a serious distance in one day. The most I've done is 430, and that felt like a long day. I assume the R12S just shrugged it off.
Where was the photo taken? It looks like my kinda place to just sit and breath.

Re: 527 miles yesterday
Bike swallowed the miles up no problem but the main issue for me was the seat. I hadn’t planned on doing that many miles but it was a lovely day and I didn’t have to get home at any given time so kept rolling. I did take a wrong turn at one point which probably added A few miles but I won’t forget it for a while.

Yes, it’s a lovely spot but Anstruther was packed even on a Tuesday afternoon.

The Chippy?
Apparently the chap who made that famous has sold it and opened the “Fish Hoose” in Thornton.
I can recommend the breaded Haddock, made to order & you can sit in

Ha Ha! yes the seat (or plank as I prefer to call it), is the next thing on mine to be "modified" in some way

Yes, there was a queue outside to get in.
Don’t think I’ll be sitting anywhere for a few days !

Think I’ll just stick to shorter distance rides. To be fair it was ok for 350 ish miles then I developed a sort of one cheek at a time riding position if you know what I mean.

St Andrews - I should have known! I grew up in Broughty Ferry, and know St Andrews very well. We still like to go there when back home. Also love the old East Neuk fishing villages, Anstruther (pronounced Ainster, I believe), Crail and Pittenweem.

I knew that. Great coastline, recognised it straightaway from our east fife coastal path walk. East Fife is a bro place to visit and stay any time of year. Not sure about the quality of roads for biking but the place is just so real. Scotlands best kept secret.Wassy wrote:Bike swallowed the miles up no problem but the main issue for me was the seat. Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
