Is there a thread on here anywhere detailing and engine + gearbox removal from the frame?
Coming in to the wet season and want to drop it out, give all a good clean, properly check the clutch and a few things
Thanks

Re: ENGINE REMOVAL THREAD / WRITE UP?
Sounds like a great project however it is more of a case of removing the bike from the engine!! It is a case of safely supporting the engine and then removing the frames and components attached. Easy! the hard bit is putting it back together. Crack on!

Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

Re: ENGINE REMOVAL THREAD / WRITE UP?
yep, its looking that way!
When I did my GS a few years back, I didnt go that / this far, but now I can see the bike it built 'on to' the engine.
I have made a start, will get pictures and stuff and add to this thread in due course.

Plenty of gearbox removal threads on here but all ruined by Photobucket

Re: ENGINE REMOVAL THREAD / WRITE UP?
True enough.
I have loads of links to various cars and bike things, almost worthless now due to loss of the photos. I don’t see the OPs going back into them all these years later to redo them.
I blame Brexit.

Re: ENGINE REMOVAL THREAD / WRITE UP?
thanks for the link to the Pelicanparts thread.
I had seen that and found that was the best so far.
I have done gearbox on my 1150GS, not worried about that part but this time, no need to split those halves.
Now that I have the rear subframe off - simple and 4 bolts, the rest is a bit clearer.
It certainly looks as though the engine rolls downt he production line and items are attached to the engine, just the size os the assemblies and how they are present and what order makes it so much easier!
First I am needing to construct more shelving to store the parts as I remove them, that will take the next few evenings, probably this weekend the front end will be removed.
