These were a Britain only bike that came before the official Berlin bikes - hence the belly pan.

Rare, yes. Desirable - not sure really.

Seen the bike in the flesh today. Dare I say but the colour scheme, in my opinion is awful, looks amateur in finish and design. But the bike itself is a good detailed clean away from being mint.
One thing I cannot grasp is how a boxercup is worth a so much more than a standard 11s!

I can see where you are coming from, but add on CF F1 head guards, belly pan, luxurious paint scheme, jacked up race ergos, limited numbers and it is easier to understand why the BCR is sought after.

started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

Saw a few of the advertised bikes at race meetings when the Boxercup races were around and have to agree that when put next to a Mamola rep bike they do not compare, if you want a replica, I still think the Mamola rep is the one to have, but the 1100s sport is nearly the same spec so is the paint job worth the premium? it wasn`t for me and from info gained "lurking" on here I was fortunate to find my 1100s sport that had been fitted with Lasers and chip along with a lennies induct pipe and belly pan, hugger etc when I got it, at quite a bit cheaper than a same age replica, but I appreciate some people prefer the exclusivity that the replica versions give.
