Since we seem to have diverted attention somewhat to admiring new beemers, i just stumbled across this concept 90.. old so most of you might have seen this but now this is a nice looking bike:

Well, bought the K1200r with 21000 on the clock, 2005 plate. had it now for four weeks using it for work rides.
Yes the fuelling problems as in , on/off at low steady speeds are there, as is the noisy clutch, but other than that I am loving it. heated grips!!! unlike my bcr.
may well go for the pc111 as suggested to sort out fuelling glitches, sorted out a rear hugger for it as well.
certainly a bit of a hooligan's bike if you let it, Is in surprisingly good condition since it has had four previous owners.
Getting my leg over the bcr after four weeks for a crafty ride certainly brought out the differences such as bouncing the bcr off the rev limiter, as I had got out the habit of watching the "slightly" lower red line compared to the 1200
putting my leg over the bcr and expecting to sit down, only to find I was sitting down, slightly higher seating than the 1200

I love these bikes.
Especially the half faired version, but what put me off was reports of faulty gearboxes.
A friend of mine threw in the towel when his second gearbox, under warranty, started jumping out.

I think Geoff at Hilltop does the Ks as well as the Rs. I had the PCIII fitted to my R-Sport before I'd even heard of the Hilltop remap, otherwise I'd have spent the money there. Mind you, I'd been grumbling to BMW about the K's rubbish low-speed fuelling so much that they paid for the PCIII...which was nice!
