When the stress hits maximum, Auntie Carole to the rescue ..
A very bad day ..... December 28th 2015.
After having had very few dry days at home last year, with a break in the rain while I was home for Christmas the bikes came out on the drive and got fired up.
Putting the MV back into the garage I decided to turn it around and put her backwards onto her stand to make more room for Jenny's car door. I put the bike on its side stand, standing parallel with the R1100S and went to pick up the paddock stand. I was standing by the MV's back wheel on the right hand side .... when she started moving ....
Nothing I could do to stop it... the side stand folded up and the MV leaned on the BMW. Slowly the MV kept moving, and then it fell .... landing on the BMW's garage stand .... which then caused the BMW to move forward onto its wheels.
I grabbed the BMW's left handle bar and stopped it from falling .... but I could not move, I was holding two bikes off the floor. I SCREAMED.
Jenny and a neighbour came and rescued me.
Looking at the damage I had caused to the MV I was gutted. The MV had leaned on the BMW's luggage rail, and foot peg mainly. There was a little black paint on the cylinder head which rubbed off easy.
But .... after deciding it will have to be an insurance repair it has all gone very fast.
Today with a new petrol tank and seat fitted, plus MOT/service/new back tyre in the workshop of Scotland's brand new MV Agusta dealer ..... Happy Days.
Good as new. £2K + for the repair, and my excess is covered by the additional insurance I took, and my no claims (13 years incident free)was protected. In the same period the renewal notice came in with just a small increase.
All sorted in two months with I have to admit extremely good, efficient service.
I am amazed MV came up with the parts for a 9 year old bike

I am going through it again.....

Will it buff out?
This section of wall needs a bit a pointing too.....
Fortunately no witnesses and no one got hurt. Amanda was with me in the van too. I lost control of the vehicle, own fault incident. Now I have hard ball to play with insurers, fortunately not from a hospital bed.

Ouch, that looks really scary .... hope you're both OK and get the wheels moving again quickly.

It is, and a road I know like the back of my hand..... when I am Lucid. Not excusing myself in any shape or form but cruise control was one of the factors that induced a "catatonic" atmosphere the other being Amanda reading her bloody kindle whilst I was driv... at the wheel. This has been a real "WAKE" up call. I am ashamed.GRAgusta wrote:boxerscott wrote:
