arrived yesterday
Our touring tool. I bought this from a small family business in Stoke on Trent. It ticked all my boxes. Unmolested, one owner bike, low miles, fsh and all paperwork, keys, manuals. The proprietor Mark Webster informed me that his grandfather set the business up and was the first importer and dealer of Motto Guzzi and Aermacchi in the UK. Mark delivered the bike personally and enjoyed a weekend up in the Borders with his wife.

Acknowledged... the seat is ample for my wifes tush, it is a pretty low ride and easier to access and egress for her compared to the trailie bike height of the bcr. It is going to get equipped with hard luggage side cases and small top box. We tried all the adventure sports types but nothing seemed to say "buy me" having a liking for the cruiser style and trending retro theme this oddity seemed to fit the bill. It gets great affection from it`s owners in the same way a R12s/r does.Blackal wrote:Where's Amanda's bum going?

The reviews by the Journos are all positive. Ok it is not a light bike but it has plenty grunt and bags of character. For a relaxed ride it will fit our bill nicely.
No plans to fack about with it, cans, clear indicators, tail tidies, power commanders IMHO it looks bloody great the way it is...there is a proviso with the Griso..... however and that the top end valve gear (flat tappets) are documented as being prone to failure. This did not put me off as the jugs present themselves in such a way that maintenance procedure is uncomplicated and it is an easy fix with uprated rollerised head gear.

Where`s my bloody Elbow grease and Clay Bar?
So it is now back from its engine upgrade. I have had a 400 mile round trip to loughboro today to pick it up in my van. I also got them to fit Guzzi rails , soft panniers, rear rack and a new battery. Miles ridden 0 costs in use so far £937.00
We are really pleased with this bike in fact as excited about it as when I bought my brand new BCR. I think a demo run to Hawes beckons before our Spanish stroll.
To fit, hugger and genuine Guzzi clear fly screen.
Coming soon Aprilia RSV4 just to complete the Garibaldi homologation

Look forward to seeing the bike, and hearing how you like it on a decent run. I won't be avail for a run until August, though
RSV seriously on the cards as a replacement for the Duc?

Not exactly a Ten, I do not acknowledge that I have carried out my best work yet so aint going to get jolly with the efforts of others, I was thinking it would be comforting just to have one as well At 8k for an early model without all the restrictable tech seems to good to resist.

Additions. Fly screen Genuine guzzi rare as hens teeth Bellisimo!
Fenda extenda
Rear hugger
Guzzi luggage rails
am really liking the "clear" fly screen. It accentuates the beautiful top yoke , handlebar and risers. Great styling cues on this bike. Now need a top case( to compliment the sassy guzzi soft luggage) which does not look like a wheelie bin or an ally meals on wheels container.
May get to ride it one day.

Re: arrived yesterday
My only Guzzi.. wanted it the first time I saw it, even before I had my motorcycle permit.
As it turned out to be a typical Italian beauty.. temperamental when cold, FI leaves much room for improvement.
Too much of a show piece then day-to-day riding motorbike.. I sold it to someone who actually appreciate it as a garage queen.
