A few minutes with an allen key will remove the front plastic cover and in all probability the belt part number will be legible. This is probably the easiest way to determine the size.
I think your bike is an early '99 model . It will most likely have a standard micro v belt ( tensioned by an adjustable alternator) which will be the cheaper option although I'm sure the elast belt will work .
The couple of times I changed my belt purely as a preventive measure I just wound it onto the pulleys without adjusting, in less time than It took me to type this
