Looking for a rear shock for 1998 R1100S.
Sent mine off to MCT and the verdict was not good, the preload adjuster is seized in place, front unit has been serviced OK.
A good standard unit would be fine and I could get it serviced as per my original plan.
An aftermarket unit would be ideal but I am realistic as well as restricted to a budget.
Update:- Confirmation that the preload adjuster is seized solid. All for the want of a wipe with grease on assembly. Albeit a few years ago.
A used unit with the preload free could be used in the re-build. A partly dismantled or unit with a broken spring might be useful.
