Another Bike Wanted.
So after proclaiming to one and all that our two up bike tours are a thing of the past, guess what .. We have changed our minds again and to that end are having a flying visit to the motorcycle live show to check out the middleweight two up stuff.
In the frame, two bikes in particular have caught my eye, Honda vfr 800 (new model) V4 Yamaha Tracer( triple)
After our Spanish road trip this year I am not sure about the cruiser thing anymore but i have a liking for the big Triumph twins.
The power weight ratio of the Tracer and price are extremely appealing.
No intention whatsoever of parting with the little Italian thing.
Who has got or had a shot on the two middleweights?

The RWB R1100S. boxefcups are ok.
Mate has a tracer but I think. As previous poster said, used r1200rs. Would be worth looking at. When you going to Brum Chris? I'll be there 28th (and not driving so might allow myself to be ripped off for a pint)

You'll be able to meet with your mates from the "other" club!!!

I am having a break from BMW and at this moment in time and I am thinking 114bhp and 210 Kilos is the way to go with a bike such as the MT tracer. That is more than enough power for me.
The vfr although a higher quality is still quite weighty at 240 kilos and down on power against the Triple. I will know better when I see them in the flesh.
BTW Dave I suspect there will be a glut of Vale minature dolls for sale.. minus dummy and rattle.

I wasn't aware of torque figs, but when I tried the Tracer - I thought it pulled like a train, in any gear - at any speed.
I know Chris - he wouldn't think of buying any model without giving it a thorough 2-up test. He'd probably make Amanda hold a couple of cases of beer on her knees to simulate their luggage............
I think the Tracer is worth a try, as would be the Triumph Tiger 800. VFR - nicer bike than I thought (the 2014> model).
I know he is excluding bikes where the pillion is perched "way up there" - like the Tiger ST etc.

If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........
See if that works .....

I quite like the look of the Tracer, there are a lot of very low( less than 2k) mileage ones on ebay, just wondering why, can`t all be ex demo bikes.
