Just about everyone - truth be known!
There's a good argument for storing the OEM CF covers and simply painting the cyl heads - black (or carbon-dipping)

...and there's a good argument for not. The owner doesn't get to enjoy looking at the swanky bits on his bike (that he paid a premium for, ahem) and he doesn't get that glow of pride listening to the oohs and ahs of folk admiring them. Reminds me of our neighbours when I was a kid. When he got his shiny new Mk3 Cortina 1.6L he left the plastic covering on the seats - to protect them and therefore the resale value. So he, his wife and kids sat on plastic bags. Nutter...

Fair one, but you get the gist. You can pick up a pair of new aftermarket carbon covers for around £100. If I had a BCR I'd maybe put these on and wrap the OE ones in cotton wool for resale time? Dunno.
