I can vouch for how well Andy looks after his bikes, having bought his immaculate R1100S.

If the 1200 was better suited to riding two-up I'd be very interested in this one myself!

Good luck Andy!

Thank you both. It would be nice to see the bike passed on to a boxer enthusiast via the forum.

Nik, in fact pillion provision is my reason. I am tempted by the R1200RS and have had a test ride with Jacqui and we both fancy doing a bit more two up work.

Bit of a wrench as the 1200s is a great ride but as my friend used to say - 'you can't have your a**e in two saddles !'

The black belly pan works very well on that bike.

One question: Is it the standard bike (narrow rear wheel) that has had a rear Ohlins added?

Al :)
If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....

Al,

Yes, rear wheel is standard size 180.

(If you think thats narrow you wouldn't like my K1100RS )

Belly pan and header protectors are carbon fibre weave.

Excellent, beautiful bike. I have to admit that the yellow S was not my favorite color, but the belly pan really makes it shine. If I was on your side of the pond, I would definitely talk to you. Good luck with the sale.

Well, Dave was correct. The bike was not up for sale long.

Big endorsement of the forum - the interest that I had was from genuine enthusiasts who knew about boxers and were serious about looking - so no time wasting just conversation about whether this bike was the right bike for them. I'll let the new owner announce himself.

This is the second 'S' I have sold via this forum and its nice to know they have gone to like minded riders, and will be appreciated.

Gromit - a little token of appreciation will be wending its way to you for the excellence of the forum

:D

New owner announcing himself!

Pick the bike up next week, so will have a couple of weeks to get aquainted before a long weekend in Scotland with Steve Parry and Boxertrix mates in the middle of August.

And yes it is better close up than the pics.

My R11S from Andy was the same!

Quite envious of your purchase - enjoy!
