i prefer the shape of the one thats on - i can recall what make it is - i think its the one that sandbar used to sell which is quite curvy. The Bos one uses straight runs into the collector - i suppose its a personal style thing!

Sandbar used to sell the HPE exhausts. I believe he still does the headers, now made by another company but to the same or very similar shape. I think they are on a made to order basis?

Zard end can, it's fitted to Laser headers; (which were not easy to find) Nigel from Sandbar does headers which are very nice, but as you say you're on a budget may not be an option.

The Zard is nicely made, the only issue I had was with the mounting rubbers which were a bit tight when trying to get the bolts through. I bought mine direct from the factory, if you go to their web-site and drop them a mail, they may let you do that. I'll look out the name of the contact at Zard..

cheap solution if you change the pipe and headers is to run a fuel unit from these guys, http://www.sol2.be/Performance/ENG/Home/page.html it's a bit of a blunt tool, but helps smooth the motor out at low revs, but a re-map is the ideal way to fly.

Thanks Fw190, I'll look into that.

Love your Headers Topcat. Are they Sandbar?

Yep, HPE from Sandbar.

I must say he did me a cracking deal at the time, the end cans where off his bike 'Humbug' and the headers new. Not sure the exact price (it was near 5 years ago) but it was hundreds off list.

Broken wasp

If you google BOS header pipes you will get an image and they follow the line of the HPE/Sandbar.

Will do, thanks Andy.
Although I've already found Sandbars page and drooled over its contents :)

i think mine are the HPE ones - it is etched on them at the front when i can be bothered to polish them!

The Bos ones i have come out of the head and then go straight to the bottom of the engine into the collector section. They are not curvy like the HPE ones but are still quality items from the look of them
