New trixter In edinburgh area

Postby Stephen » Fri May 09, 2014 11:29 pm

Hi all after weeks of effort have now bought myself my 02 plate silver and yellow 1100s from a man, a very nice man it turns out, in Australia.
Long story but bike in scotland, man and keys in Oz.
Have had it mot'd and now champing at the bit to get tax and get out on the road. Am very happy with bike even though only ridden about 30miles so far.
Must thank everyone for information on site as i used it to help make decision to buy.

Cheers
Stephen :D

Thanks for the welcome gents
Trumpetdude a wee trip sounds good, dont know Bikers cove but half the fun will be finding it, sometime over next few weeks.
Just got bike taxed and using it for commute this week, so will see how it compares to my f800

It's a brilliant wee hang out at South Queensferry, under the rail Bridge. Open most days for a pre, mid or post cuppa! I tank they do hot rolls now too. You'll see all sorts down there. I'll hopefully have the new bike on the road this weekend. I'll pop you a message if I'm heading down Sunday afternoon.

Trumpetdude sunday is good hope you get your bike by then
I know the place you mean and the forecast is good hope maybe others, like rob, can make it too.

Metropolis2k my f800 was an st. Owned from new, really liked it but knocked off in august then attempted theft in january written off as frame damaged. Decided to stay with but wanted to try something a bit different hence 1100s.
It took some work but have now used it this week to commute and have made the right decision
Will try to get pictures up - am as happy as a pig in ....

Safe riding all

Sorry to hear about the F800 but you've made a sensible move. A friend of mine had an F800ST and while they're good bikes a boxer is just something else!
