Post by 626barry »

Eyore there's nothing wrong with my bike it's just that I have to have 10 posts before I can put a wanted ad on the site (its the rules you know) & Tanneman yes my bike is a 2004 r1100s. Hopefully there will be nothing wrong with my bike tomorrow and I will have 2 posts and that much nearer being able to post a wanted ad.

In hindsight you may have been able to put the past 21 months of membership to better use.....

No, sorry, don't get it - please explain.

More importantly, how did you get your hands on one of my primary school photos???????

That's my imaginary impression of 626Barry s reaction to your comment which made me chuckle :laughing6:

Leasky & boxerscott for the past 21 months the bike has been perfect, but I'm now 21 months older & nearer 60 than 50 so need to make the bike more comfortable. Al all I need is some bar risers or barbacks a lot more cost effective than a change of bike.

There are a good few sets of bar risers going about, they were machined and exported by one of the members in America. I have no doubt you will be successful in your venture.......in due course.

Try putting the bars above the top yokes first, it worked for me and others. You will probably have to get new brake lines(+ 50mm on standard length) but you will need these with the barbacks/rises anyway, also footrest lowering kits may work with the higher bars.

I don't think I can fit a footpeg lowering kit on as I've just put a carbon belly pan on. I've tried the bars above the top yoke & it's ok for about an hours riding then the pain starts & as I'm away in Europe again this year I thought I'd see if anyone was selling some barbacks.
