NEC / Motorcycle Live - who's going then?

Post by MotoGoLoco »

Couldn't see another thread on this, so thought I'd create my own.

Anybody from here taking a run up/down/over to Brum for this then?

What're you hoping to see/do/buy while you're there?

While I'm at it, hope you guys don't mind me dropping in a wee note/link/advert (whatever I call it, that's pretty much what it is!) in here.

If you're heading to the show anyway, you might be interested in the little give away we're running in conjunction.

All the details are at:

http://www.motogoloco.com/blog/events/b ... ycle-live/

Cheers all - hopefully see a few friendly faces from here lurking around the BMW stand while we're there.

Have a great weekend,
James

Date TBC but I will get along. Bargains have been in short supply for the last couple of years, but I am hoping to score some new boots and perhaps some new jeans.

We're going on Sunday.

I don't usually do bike shows, but we're in Birmingham for 'Nedstock' at the O2 Academy, so it seemed worthwhile going whilst we're there.

That says it all.
It's less about seeing the latest metal, and more to do with buying bargain clothing
That's why I don't bother

Actually for me it's little to do with bikes or clothing. It's an excuse to meet up with my riding mates who will come from Essex, Scotland and Newcastle. We get together for 1 week every year and 1 day at the bike show. It's a social call that happens to involve looking at bikes and if it can score a bargain all well and good.

As merely a hobbyist rather than a dyed in the wool hardened biker like you, I would be just as happy to meet my mates at a knitting fayre as long as we get to catch up.

I don't understand what is is you are trying to prove with almost every post Bikesandbones? You are clearly insecure and trying to prove something to yourself about what a tough biker you are and how committed you are to biking compared to others.

Well, that was 40-ish quid down the drain.

What a boring, dreary, and pointless experience.

It took longer to walk to and from the car than it took to walk around the show.

Oh dear, I'll be there on the 30th, just going to speak to a few specific stands, and try on a smaller Gerbings jacket liner as I've shrunk and my current (sic!) one is a bit large fer me.

It must be wonderful in your world, where everyone just goes along with what you say, and woe betide anyone who disagrees with you.

I think most people on here would apply the above statement to you rather than Herb, or anyone else on here for that matter.
