I used to really like those. Quite stylish in a very Germanic way.

I had five of them over the years Jim incredibly reliable and surprisingly quick, as three white and red R1's can testify :)

Steve, that's the sport one isn't it? Came with radial tyres and upgraded suspension. I had a blue K100rs and was going to part ex it against one of those but by the time it had come into the country I was waiting to visit Wetherby Magistrates for "making rapid progress" on the blue one and thought that maybe I shouldn't take any finance on at that particular time

Yes Dave, the SE model with sports pack. I personally think the KRS's were the best thing to ever come out of Germany :)

Al :D
Being honest Al on that particular day had my riding been seen by plod I would have rightly been put in gaol as it was beyond aggressive and stupid.

Going for an overtake that a slim sports bike had squeezed through on a sports tourer with panniers was crazy and must have scared the daylights out of others. Stupid really stupid but the red mist had descended and I was determined to nail them, the first two we're difficult the third was approaching impossible until we were going up the horseshoe pass from the ruthin side, there's one very tight left hander and as we approached it at 90+ matey overshot and thanks to ABS I tucked under him and left him, he didn't crash but regained control. By which time I was at the café. the 3 of them came over, Manchester lads, to say BMW's weren't supposed to go like that ;)
