BMW R Nine T projects a bit pants to be honest, more a "R GS Crossover T"

Not hideous but nowhere near its potential

The silencer side is particularly ugly. The Sands concept was stunning, I really thought the NineT was going to be a beaut. I will stick with my 12 for a bit longer.

No thanks, just looks dumpy and overweight (although it may well not be)
don't like the oil cooler being so prominent or the Siamese silencer.
Shame its not more like the prototype .

Its a shame, the 12R 90 year edition is much nicer, and cheaper!

A very limited sample of opinion here and on Pelican, but us Brits seem to dislike it and our American cousins seem to love it. (Generally)

Perhaps it was designed with the help of US focus groups?

Have to agree on the front suspension - they should use this naked machine to celebrate the 'funny front end', not serve up the same as 99% of the others . Vivre la difference, and all that.

Of the options shown in Roloo's pics on the other thread, I prefer the bendy Akrapovic pipe, though I'm a sucker for the tidiness and symmetry of an underseat job.

 That's such a let down, I was real tempted by the concept, The end result isn't for me, reminds me of an XJR (on a quick glance that is)

Unashamedly lifted from the Pelican

Quoted from Nitro

"IN GERMAN

Fritz: Hey Otto what the sh_!te are we gonna do with the left over aircooled?
Otto: Just bolt them into a cheap frame and a gas tank.
Fritz: About any fairing?
Otto: Forgetabaute.
Fritz: About the telelever?
Otto: The radiator goes there!
Fritz: About the price?
Otto: Overprice the sh_!te out of it and blame it on the brakes!"
Phil.

Hee Hee.

The R1200r has a cooler AND Telelever so what's the problem? ....DIVE!

Bit of a U Boot theme going on there.

The silver over the snorkel (no, not a euphemism) spoils the lines. I'm hoping that is genuine aloominum.

Focus shmockus, rather BM (if I was after such machine)- I'd get MT09 by Yamaha
have you rode the mt09,,,,,,,,,,,, i have.
it's a rev'y , twitchy throttled, wheelie in 3rd hooligan toy with no top end.
it's a commuter bike with a back pack, and the thoughts of it with 3 luggage and touring europe is a no-no.

there is no comparison between the two bikes.
