Our last great motorcycle adventure of the year was a journey down to Silverstone for the MotoGP.
We started with a lovely run down the A68 to Newcastle to see my parents, and then down to Nottingham to visit daughter and granddaughter. There was a fair bit of motorway travel down in England because we needed to cover distance quickly so that we could maximise time with the people we were visiting – I had forgotten how intense riding on motorways can be.
Jenny leaving the country.
Once down in Northamptonshire we stayed in a country house hotel 11 miles from the circuit, the hotel was apparently used by Elizabeth 1st, but they have done it up since then.
Here are some pics from the circuit:

Is this colour faster?
School boy dreams ...

Scott Reading did really well
and then the big boys
The crashes were scarey though, you can see that Marquez was protecting his shoulder on Sunday afternoon .......
It was a great adventure, but Monday was full on for the journey home.
Thanks to Jenny for coming along and making me so happy.
Re entry .....
1010 miles, but many more smiles.
