R1200S won't start.

Post by saabowl »

Riding the bike regularly, was fine when I stuck it in the garage at 4pm. Went out to check it over as I'm due to go on a trip tomorrow. Wouldn't start. No whirring and clicking when ignition turned on. Initially lights came on, now nothing comes on but the clock and mileage are displayed, but not moving, even when the key is out . Optimate would appear to be saying battery is fine.

Any ideas?

Almost certainly the battery is duff, they just seem to give up without warning, we have witnessed it several times on trixter weekends.

Wot he said, you need to check the battery with a voltmeter. Optimates are no guarantee of anything.
