selling my bike :-(
So the time has come to sell up.....
I have owned my bike, a 1999 mandarin since 2002... and it doesn't get used and I now I need the space etc etc
but it has some goodies on it.... now I'm not posting here to start a frenzy, I just wanted advice.... is it worth selling as is, or am I better off picking the good bits off and selling separately. I appreciate I won't get quite as much as I could if I was mercenary about it (don't really want to strip it though I suppose) but would it still sell with them fitted?
(the bits are the usual nice bits, laser, lennies, wilbers, power commander etc etc)
I guess the luggage, viper seat etc will come off easily enough so I should do that.... and I got rid of my old shocks so were I to strip the wilbers would it be too cheeky to do swapsys for standard shocks?
it is going into the workshop on 28th.... for new battery and mot, then we'll see
still only got 20k on it too!
please don't message me asking for bits, that is not the intention of the thread, if that's the way to go I will start a thread in for sale

I would approach it by offering it here first where there is an apreciation of the bike with all its extras.
If there are no takers on here then return to as near standard as possible and offload the bike elsewhere and then offer the parts on here. They will go!

Mmmmmmm, Wilbers.....
Yup, the tasty bits would be gone like a shot on here. If you can be arsed to spend the time swapping the gucci stuff out you would maximise yer money.
I mean, for instance, I know someone who would bite your arm off for sensibly priced Wilbers units and happily throw in his standard Sport shocks...

I have just sold my 53 plate 1100s on here.
I had the same issue re lots of nice bits to leave on or not.
I went the Merecat route: offered on here first with all the goodies and it went in a couple of days.
Could I have got a bit more by splitting it up................maybe..........but,
once you have a standard bike then it will be harder to shift when it doesn't stand out from the crowd.
Your choice I guess.

All problems can be fixed with the correct application of a big enough hammer.

will get some photos on Friday when I pick it up, and take it to get MOT etc.....
also got a CB-1 400cc to go as well, but this probably isn't the place for that
think I will get some photos, sort a 'for sale' for bike as is.... and give it a week, or so.... if no luck then start looking to sell off the bits and the bike seperately

for sale ad done :''-(
off to buy a lottery ticket in a bit, and if I win I will keep it
I am going to sell the BMW first, then decide what to do with the CB-1 (it is my wifes bike... and I got it for her, for Christmas in 1996... and had it in the front room for her on Christmas day with a bow... but we could both ride it... but not the BM, she's only 5'1")
anyway here is a photo....
