Well I have spent the last 2 days up in the Dales checking out possible routes for July (Its a hard life but somebody's got to do it) Got quite wet yesterday but dried out in the pub--Is that possible   . Lots of roads with stunning views that I am happy to do on my own or with 1 or 2 but not with a group of 15/20 bikes so I'm looking at doing the same route as a couple of years ago

I think this should keep everyone happy and if the weather plays ball it is a good days riding.

I am planning to run down to Ribblehead/Settle on the Sun Morning for those who need to head south on the M6 as it would be a shame to miss these roads out over the weekend.

Peter.
That looks like a great route Peter, Dave and I did most of the westerly side of that today and we had fantastic weather :) all the biker meets were packed but the roads were mostly clear :D
Phil, I don't think it's feasible to cover the lakes as well as N.Yorks, for me it's one or the other, although Peters planned route includes one of Cumbria's finest roads in the A6 up through Shap but sadly no view of a lake, I could lead you on a route on the Friday pm around windermere, Ullswater and the Kirkstone pass if you like? depending on what time you are planning on getting up there?

No probs, it was just a thought, the last time I was in the lakes I was about 9! I dont think Karen's ever been and it would have been nice to skirt the area.

Steve I think that we shall get to Hawes mid afternoon going via M65/Skipton, thanks for the kind offer to show us around but maybe next time.
Phil.

Be good to see you both again. Are you both wanting dinner with the group on Sat evening?? Reckon that will be all places filled if you do.

Hello Trixters

Is the petrol station that I can see in Hawes on google street view still open? If not where does everybody fill up.

Cheers
