I wonder whether anyone can help me with an electrical problem - it's actually for my GS but I guess they're essentially the same.
While riding to work this morning I lost my lights/horn and indicators although bike kept running fine. Now I can't start it as there's no power to the starter either. When I switch on, the pump fires up and idiot lights on the clocks work but nothing that is controlled by the handlebar switches although the stop light from the front brake works and also the kill switch knocks out the Rider Information Display and so there must be a connection getting thorugh to that.
I've tried swapping the load relief relay for the horn relay as they're both the same but that doesn't do anything.
Anyone any ideas?
thanks
Rob

Without looking at the wireing diagram i would look at the ignition switch and the connections to it
I may be well off the mark but am sure someone will have a better idea than me

And me, Green wire bottom of ignition switch is where my money would be.
Check by testing for 12V at Terminal 86 of the Load relief relay, should be live with ignition on.
