In truth, it's less hassle to give everyone a nod than to have to check through some mental 'Nod/Don't Nod' Check list. Oh and remember, some folk think all us BMW riders are 'stuck-up' our own arses anyway.

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.
It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.
Remember coming home from work last year in bright sunlight (naw, it wasn't really it was peeing down and quite dark). A Durham bike cop was out (best in the land) with a jet black visor - it must of been hell for him. I nodded and he nodded back but like I said, Durham bike cops have a very good reputation - I do still nod to the boys in blue tho

Don't scotish bike cop's get black visors issued for safety reasons?
i use a black visor on my Roof boxer and a dark tint on my Craft and would not go back to a clear visor [but i tend not to do many miles after dark but do often carry a pair of safety glasses] in winter a dark visor can be a life saver with the low sun wet roads
Sorry who do i nod to well i used to nod or wave to everyone but now only a few, power rangers tend to get a gesture rather than a nod or wave, anyone else well it depends what sort of mood i'm in if i'm in a good mood i will wave or nod to everyone if i'm in a bad mood no one
