The Edinburgh store is having a Closing Down Sale so it may be going?

Blimey. That's where I get all my riding Kit from - Clearly I have not bought enough lately.
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

Saw the other thread on this, it's a really sad news as I'm a huge fan of HG gear. I know folk have had issues with their online sales (which is always a PITA) but the shops have never been anything less than extremely helpful.

Will have to dash off to HG Lincoln asap and pick up some bargains. :)

Just Hein Gericke (UK)...European Stores not affected according to their e-mail

Great pity, most of their kit was good value for money.

... don't know if the bargains are there yet..
Just been to HG Newcastle.. only 20% off list.. no real change from previous offers
:?
penultimate email I had from them had £100 off goretex stuff..
So a Summit Goretex jacket was £389 (from £489).. ~20%
the trews.. down to £229.. 30%..

..plus as someone pointed out .. no guarantee.. "that alone should be 20% off"
Simon, now with a third

Incorporated a ride out to see a mate at Brampton and visited Hein Gericke in Carlisle - got some Goretex bottoms with 20% off - I did need some new bottoms and wanted to make sure they fitted to my jacket. Got some other bits and pieces with 30% off. Staff were still really helpful but I've never seen as many people in - like vultures!!

I'd like to think that the stuff would still have the manufacturer's guarantee - you might just have to return it to Germany?

Sales assistant mentioned that Gore tex would honour their part of the guasrantee so not sure what would happen if the Hein Gericke "part" was faulty - I'll take my chances - never had a problem before
