Multi-bike insurance

I'm still hoping to find an 1100S to buy, or maybe an 1100/1150 R (why no 1150S I wonder?).

When I do, and when I finish my T100SS renovation, and maybe buy something else that I fancy in my lump-sum-rich retirement, I'll want to insure the bikes so that I can ride whichever without paying a £35 admin fee each time to move from one bike to another. It'd be helpful to be able to ride my wife's Virago as well.

So, I've heard of the Aegis 5 bike Future-classic policy (from Carole Nash) which may do the job. Are there any other flexible policies that will let me ride as I please?

I have been with BMW Insurance for a number of years - the premiums were reasonable. But, I bought a second BMW this year and my renewal quote was £285 for a BMW R1200s plus K1100RS, 9 years NCD and at a reasonable age.

Bloody hell ! So I did some research and got a quote from Bennetts for £114 !! Bloody hell again.

I rang BMW just to check and the person I spoke to conformed the premium and said that as they had changed provider to Equity Red Star they had not worked out new rates - i.e. 'we'll whack out some stupid process and see who is daft enough to renew'

Listen kids - always get a new quote before you renew

EBike do multi bike policies, all done online, no fee for additions or removals, expensive if you want to actually speak to them, was with them for several years but switched to swinton this year, they charge for changes (£25) but I have no plans to change bikes at the moment so happy with that.

My policy is due for renewal soon , I don't have as much choice as you do (being Dublin Based) but Adelaide (cornmarket) gave CN a good run for their money. Could be worth a try .

They only offer recovery on an individual bike though as an add on (I have 5  )
In the end I stuck with CN , i've been with them since '98.....
