I have just finished the first of Oisin Hughes books apart from a couple of technical bits he got wrong it's a dam good read 30,000 miles in 160 days[i think] if you want a story book or a tour guide this wont be the sort of books you will want, but if like me you like a book where the authour shows a bit of emotion, a bit like Jupiters travels, these are worth getting £6.40 for both i feel they are worth every penny. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_nos ... sin+hughes

Looks interesting Dai.
I,ve just finished "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance", not really about bikes, more about life and values and pretty heavy going at times. But its one of those books I had to read...and worthwhile.
I,m about to start "The long ride home" by Nathan Millward, Sydney to London on a little Honda....looks good.
Also any of the books by Ian Mutch of MAG including:
"Looking for America" is superb.
"Lowrider" to Israel by a chopped Triumph low rider that breaks down before he gets out of London is hilarious.

Believe it or not i have never read a book by Mutchy i do have the misfortune[mine or his? i'm not saying] of having met him on many occasions
I was in on it when his brand new harley went missing in mallory park we only moved it round the corner but his face was a picture when he realised his brand new pride and joy wasn't where he had left it

I will have a look at the other books you mentioned

Try to get hold of Jupiters travels as well another well worth reading

Thanks again for the screen

EDIT just putting the words in the right order

His book "Harley to Mali" has funny moments, such as him crossing the desert on a Harley to the amazement of others on tackle meant for the task.... He,s an interesting man alright.
