Welsh Weekend 2017 version 2

Postby slparry » Wed Aug 10, 2016 2:10 pm

Right after the panic with the Wild Pheasant closing, and the Royal Goat seemingly not wanting our business ......

I've spent last night and this morning calling around and I think I've found a great location for 2017!!!

The hotel has said they will do Dinner, Bed & Breakfast for us for £52.50 per person per night. They're asking for a 20% deposit at booking

The hotel is

http://www.lionhotelcriccieth.co.uk/

telephone 01766 522460

I've asked them (Sandra) to pencil in the 21st and 22nd April 2017 for us.

If everyone is happy with Criccieth as a venue then we can start booking the rooms.

They don't have a function room as such but said they can do Fridays dinner at 8pm which should give everyone chance to arrive, and Saturdays dinner as we require. The deal is for a 3 course dinner.

Criccieth itself is a lovely little coastal town with a castle, a beach and is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

PS the hotel asked me for a £200 deposit but I asked them to charge 20% deposit to everyone as they book, hope that's OK?

Well done matey. That looks grand. I would be happy to use that as the base for WW17.

Cheers and thanks for all of your efforts in finding a new venue.

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Ha, I know from the repeats. Not 'quite' old enough to have seen it the first time round.

I could well be in. I'd like to go and it looks like a great base. I shall book but might be working out of the country around then.

Hi Steve

Looks good and you can more than likely count me, Keith, Mark, Ollie, and Martin in for this weekend

I'll book once I've got some feedback from the other guys

Do you know if the Lion Hotel taking a deposit at this stage?

Thanks for sorting out another fine venue for us

Geoff
