After a slightly embarrassing (because it was in front of all my mates) low speed drop doing a U turn last year in France, I put some deep scratches in one of the rocker covers. The other cover already had some minor scratching coutesy of the previous owner.
I've been looking out for some good second hand single spark magnesium covers on here, Ebay and UKGSer but they are like rocking horse sh*t to find good ones. Yes, I could buy some new but can't justify the expense at the moment.
So........ I was wondering,
I could fill the scratches with Isopon or a similar filler and then spray the covers but would it be up to the job in terms of the heat, vibes etc. I think it would probably be ok but would welcome opinions from someone more knowledgeable
Cheers
Nick

If I was looking to replace that would be my first point of call.
Quite fancy having a go at refurbishing the scratches and spraying the covers black, so just wanted thoughts on the suitability of using car body filler to make good the scratches
