Was doing some work on the bike over the weekend and wanted to go for a spin yesterday. Switched the ignition on and the spyball light blipped but would not go out when I pressed the fob. Went into the house for the booklet and disarmed the system running through the special code number. Great I thought, I'll still be able to go for a spin and test out the new suspension I fitted on the Sat. By the time I put helmet and gear on the bloody thing had armed itself again ! Off with helmet and gloves to disarm the thing again but this time I started the engine and kept it running before putting on helmet etc. Of course now I knew the thing was going to re-arm itself when I stopped for a coffee later on so I had to take the booklet and card with the special code nos etc to go through the whole palaver every time I stopped. If the fob does not switch the blipping light out once the ignition is turned on is it likely to be a low battery in the fob ? Has anyone had the same problem.
Thanks
Scott

I'd pay 50 quid and get the fecking thing removed - that's what I did! I had two bikes with that alarm simultaneously - went in to the garage one day and pressed the blipper - BOTH fecking bikes disarmed One bike had tuned itself to the other's frequency. The original correct blipper just stopped working. I got the alarm removed on the S and sold the Fazer with the S's fob.
But. I would still start with the battery. Remember you have to hold the (i think) right hand button down for 15 secs or so to re-connect after the battery has been changed.

Thanks Jason. I remember that hassle you had with your Spyball as sometime ago you gave me help with getting the horn fixed on my bike. The hor has worked perferctly since by the way.
The guy that designed the Spyball should be hung, drawn and quartered. I'm still waiting on the new battery from fleabay but it should be here today. Went for a spin last night and had to deactivate the unit to get the bike started every time I stopped. People were wondering what this idiot was doing turning the ignition on and off whilst holding a piece of paper with the special code nos on.
