My R1100 was killed by a Volkswagen and I need another one..

A VW driven by a tw*t who did U-turn across a traffic island in the mouth of a junction without even looking to see what was coming
Anyway, I was pretty much unhurt but the bike's a write off as the frame is cracked. The insurance has paid up the correct amount amount and the tw*t in question claims to have admitted liability although I'll believe that when I hear it from his insurers..
I have agreed to go and see a replacement which is some distance away. It's an 01 in DDP and all looks good from the photos. Not even any corrosion on the fork brace. 22k on the odo with the usual patchy service history. The asking price is pretty reasonable ...but...the current owner has just phoned me to to say that whilst cleaning it for me he's noticed that one of the header bolts has sheared off. It has a Remus system fitted so I expect it happened when a previous owner farted about with it. He seems a bit clueless about the bike really but genuine enough.
My question is ..would it put you off?
The bike is cheaper than most around and if I can't drill out the stud then how much could it cost to get it fixed. He says it's not blowing so if it's not then could I just fuggedaboutit ?
Or should I just shell out a few hundred quid more for a different bike?
Cheers,
Tim
