R1100's front brake judder

Does anybody else have this problem?
I've checked and I'm sure the disc isn't cracked or buckled. But I have found recently that the front brake judders when applied.
There's no unsettling noise just slight juddering.
They seem to work fine.
Any suggestions or advice would be welcome
Kind regards
Gismo

If the disc is not warpped then the calipers might need a good cleaning to get rid of old brake dust.

Hi Gismo,
Check to see if the disc rotor moves when you tug it laterally. Could be the wheel posts wearing down... You can solve that problem by fitting some BMW wavey washers.

I'll go for the pistons meself. Last year my S only just went through the MOT on what he said was warped disks. There was a fair bit of judder, and coming to a stop slowly became a right mare. I thought it was the disks even though I'd changed them for some 2nd hand ones. Later I saw that the pads were wearing slightly wrong with the bottom pistons obviously not working as well as the top. The pads were wearing at an angle. I bought a new set of pistons and seals, fitted them which is a pretty straight forward job, now they're fine and no juddering. Cost me about 120 quid I think
