Screw You Micheldever

Well, that was a wasted 60 miles, phoned them up and asked if I could get a new BT020 fitted since it was bordering on illegal since it's down to the wear indicators.
"No problem sir, we take the last vehicles in at 16:30, is it on a bike or a loose rim?". On the bike naturally as I'd spend more money driving there and back in the Land Rover than what it costs for the fitting on bike charge.
I get there, and have to wait twenty minutes for anyone to come see me about the bike, eventually someone turns up and asks what i want.
"Just a BT020 on the front, the rears still got plenty of life in it" (being only half way worn through the Pilot Power, I aint going to waste money and another three months of riding")
<deep draw of breath through the teeth>
"Sorry sir, can't do that, you have a sports tyre on the back"
"It's only half worn so I aint going to waste money".
"Well sir, we could fit you a new BT020 on the front and a new BT020 ont he rear".
"I aint got the money for both this month, the rear was planned to be done by you next month, which funnily is in less than a week, if it's an issue".
"Well, all we can therefore do is fit you a new Pilot Power on the front...."
"Hold on!, I've got a Pilot Power on the back, which due to the temperature at the moment does not get upto temperature and therefore slides more than what the front does, and you want me to fit a set of tyres that are totally wrong for this time of year??"
"Well, that's all we can do sir, the tyre companies state we musn't fit non-matched tyres, and a bloke who brought in a loose tyre and then fitted it to a mismatched rear tyre then had an accident, killed his pillion wife and we were up in court"
I nearly at this point said that the twat shouldn't have ridden his bike beyond the tyres capabilities, and at that not taken a pillion as I refuse to do at this moment in time with badly worn tyres. But I decided that I wasn't going to get anywhere so left and just been onto a shop down in Eastleigh who will fit me a BT020, for £15 cheaper, and have agreed that it is not a preferable combination, and that I should ride carefully until the new year when I will bring the bike in again for a rear BT020.
Anyhoo, to summarise
'dever never on the phone warned me that they only fit matched tyres when they do one at a time
'dever allowed me to leave the facility with a tyre that was illegal to use since it was down to the wear indicators, and in places half way through them.
'dever were going to cost an extra £15!!!!!!
I was going to buy a full set of BFGoodrichs for my Land Rover from them at £410 for a set, stuff that now, Ebay here I come
