I have just purchased a kit from Motorworks for my BCR which lowers the riders footrests by 30mm.
What I didnt realise at the time is that the right hand footrest is held firmly in place by the steel brakelines as I have an ABS model.
Has anyone got aroung this issue before or have any tips on how I might be able to overcome it. I understand that I will also have to replace the hose from the rear brake fluid reservior but a longer hose for that purpose was included in the kit.
If the problem is too difficult to rectify does anyone fancy taking the kit off my hands at a reasonable price?

I've had one of these kits knocking around in my garage for
the last year & just got round to fitting it to my ABS equiped bike.
The instructions supplied are very basic and not very clear and if
anything the instructions for the gear change side make even less sense .
Your kit should have come with a black adapter which screws
into the top of the rear master cylinder. This brings it back up to the original height .
The lowering kit also moves the pegs forwards slightly, but despite appearances,
with everything loosened off there is just enough play in the metal pipe .
The hydaraulic pipe then screws directly into the top of
the adapter (don't forget the copper washer).

One question i have though is how exactly do I bleed the brakes when I have moved the footrest. Can I just use the old fashioned method and bleed the rear brake at the nipple on the caliper or is there something altogether more complex that I need to do after disconnecting the ABS pipe from the top of the master cylinder?
Sorry if the question is a little basic but I am a little nervous about introducing air into the system.
Bikes werent this complicated when I was a lad!

at least partially draining the rear system.
Bleeding is carried out in the conventional way (although there
is an additional bleed nipple on the ABS unit under the tank).
The question is how effective is it ? I've bled the rear brake several times,
letting it stand between bleeds and I'm still finding bubbles as
air seems to lurk in all the twist and turns of the pipework . I suspected
that might be the case, having read other posts ,so I waited until the bike
was almost due a service before fitting the kit .
