I want to add a k and n and lennies to my s which currently has a remus system with two into two pies and oxygen sensor.
BMW Battersea say I don't need to change the chip as the exising one will pick up the changes and adjust the fuelling itself once I have fitted the mods. Looking through the site there doesn't appear to be a definitive answer to this.
Also if I fit the lennies and filter and don't change the chip what will be the consequences.
Which chip should I be looking at FIM is a lot cheaper than the BB?
totally confused,

I've waited 5 years for a Power Commander to be produced,i'm not sure if the threads go far enough back, but after Malc's exsperience cured me of any such idea's of a chip.
He left the board now,but maybe Paul or Richard could fine the thread.

The 2 into 2 Remus made my bike run very lean and robbed it of what little top end it had.

I run the Remus 2 into 2 exhaust system. I have disconnected oxygen system I found this made a big difference to the bottom end. It now run really smooth.
I also have a k and n filter fitted.
Also fitted, BB power chip have to be honest and say it didn't seem to make that much difference had a little flat spot at about 4 thousand revs it queue that problem
I also wanted to do the air box mod that carbon one that they all rant and rave about. But £300 is too much, so I decided to get my air box and cut in half and used the middle piece as the air intake. at the moment
I am trying to put the picture on the FORUM but struggling, but this modification is the best thing. I have done from 5000 revs. It really does pick up quick to about 8900 revs. I was on the road. The other day was doing 140 mph, with one gear left to many cars to let it run out it top gear
the bike runs. So smoothly now I don't think I'll get it any better

Hi
I take it the bbp chip alows the rev limiter to be moved up the scale.Be very careful running at Higer revs, the standard limit is 8200 rpm i believe.Unless you,ve got lightened valve gear your asking for trouble running above the standard limit. Also most of the power and torque would have dropped off way before 8200,never mind 8900.

you are correct BB Power chip does take the rev limiter up.
It's only since I have done air box
from 5000 revs, pulls like mad, is so easy now to get to the red line.
Not mechanically minded, when it goes bang, then I will worry
be out on it tomorrow I will keep you posted
