Clutch

Postby hooperman » Tue Nov 20, 2018 9:13 am

Desperate for help with this. I have replaced the clutch plate after the centre stripped. It is all back and on the road and rideable - just - but when releasing the clutch lever in gear, the clutch engages very early - less than half way released. There is pressure from the start when the clutch level is pulled but the clutch disengages very late. Why? What have I done wrong? I believe I have bled all of the air out - but am not certain. Any ideas would be very gratefully received.

:D :D After bleeding the clutch try putting a cable tie around the grip and clutch lever to hold the lever in overnight and turn the bars to the right to keep the reservoir upright. This allows any air bubbles to escape. Works a treat. :P

Let us know how you go. :bounce:

I'll second that - works on brake lines too.
